The Baillage of Uganda held their Revival Dinner at the Victoria Restaurant of the Sheraton Kampala Hotel.
The evening began with a champagne cocktail on the Victoria Terrace with Tapenades, Bruschettas, Salmon Mousse Canapés, after which guests took their seats at the superbly decorated Victoria Restaurant with a live jazz band providing wonderful entertainment.
Bailli Délégué Mohit Advani welcomed back former members, guests and prospective members for the revival of Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Uganda. Sheraton Kampala Hotel offered a fine six course menu. The first course was a Peas & Mint Velouté, served with a Neethlingshof Chardonnay 2018, followed by Seafood Vol au Vent, served with a Kumala Reserve Chenin Blanc 2018. A refreshing Citrus Granité was served before the main meal. The main meal comprised of a Viennese Beef Tenderloin, Porcini Mushrooms in Madera sauce style, Potatoes Roesti and Brussels sprouts, served with a Coleccion Privada Malbec 2019. This was followed by a wonderful Cheese Assortment with Green salad, Apples, Nuts, Apricot and plum preserves served with a Neethlingshof Merlot 2017. The dinner ended with a Decadent Trio Dessert: Apple Strudel, Chocolate Mousse, Classic Milles Feuilles with Berries served with Condor Peak White Sweet Chenin Blanc 2017.
Bailli Délégué Mohit Advani and his provisional Board Members thanked the General Manager of Sheraton Kampala Hotel, Jean-Philippe Bittencourt and his fantastic team for a memorable evening. The Chefs, Sous Chefs and Service Brigade were awarded with certificates from Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Uganda.
